Blizzard has announced the Cataclysm release date, and it's
December 7, 2010. The expansion will be available on DVD-ROM for Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7 and Macintosh® and will also be offered as a digital download from the Blizzard Store. A special collector’s edition packed with bonus items will be available exclusively in retail stores.
The expansion raises the
level cap to 85 and introduces
two new races: the
Goblin for the Horde faction, and
Worgen for the Alliance. It also brings a cataclysmic change to the entire game world of Azeroth, allowing the developers to refresh the look and content of the 6-year-old game.
